Sewing my way to a handmade home. Tulip Quilt pattern (free! Rainbow raspberry kiss quilt top. August 17, 2016. After much indecision, here’s what I came up with! Still a rainbow, but not as linear as my initial arrangement. I added more warm blocks to better balance out the cools, and I mixed the blocks up a bit so the color transitions wouldn’t be too harsh. Jalie 2568, Again. June 8, 2015. August 8, 2015. I don’t have anything particularly exciting to show off today. I was thwarted, once again, in an attempt to sew a woven garment. I tried making McCall’s 6711. So all is not lost. After a brief period of disappointment, I’m also ready to rally my energies and move forward with trying to make a well-fitting woven garment. I like sewing and wearing knits, but I would also like to make pants and jackets and shirts that in no way resemble a swuit. The half-yard...
