The simulator checks for an .EQR (Validator) file before checking for an .LER file (ACE). If an ACE program is validated , the report from the ACE compiler (.LER) will not be used. There is an unresolved issue with the ACE compiler and equations with more than 17 parallel rungs. This only occurs if 'Piece 2' is below and not to the right of 'Piece 1'.
