Getting A Life
The Getting a Life programme ran from April 2008 to the end of March 2011, as part of the Valuing People Now employment work. Set up to show what needs to happen so that young people with a severe learning disability achieve paid employment and full lives when they leave education. The central programme team has now disbanded, but the people who have been involved in the local projects are continuing their work to improve employment opportunities for young people with learning disabilities in each area.
