T-t-t-today, junior! | Getting Fit Chick

Keeping track of how I'm a winner at losing. I updated this morning, but really quickly I wanted to start inputting what I do each day at the end of the day. Today was the second day of my manager class for work, and as part of my training I had to eat some french fries and a nugget but other than that I think I did pretty well today. Dinner was homemade chicken noodle soup and for dessert I had 2 cups of kettle corn. I ate about 1700 calories today, staying within my goal range. Oh, and I’m tr...Since I...
Good Morning! | Getting Fit Chick
https://gettingfitchick.wordpress.com/2013/10/01/good-morning
Keeping track of how I'm a winner at losing. So, this is an odd post, as I am not a morning person, but I wanted to update about what I did yesterday. Yesterday marked the start of week 3 of my 12 week “strength for life” journey. I have never done a straight up program before so this is a bit different for me. I’ve been strength training 6 days out of the week and doing HIIT cardio two of those days. I worked out my shoulders, chest, and arms with a PUSH workout. 2lbs x 12 reps. 3lbs x 10 reps. The bigg...

Who are You to Judge? | Dottie's Journey
https://dottiesjourney.wordpress.com/2014/07/27/who-are-you-to-judge
A journey of health and wellness. Who are You to Judge? July 27, 2014. Once upon a time, there was a young adult just getting her feet into the work world after high school. She landed a job at a somewhat local coffee shop. She started training for two hour shifts each night; by no means was it equal to a full time job week. She thought to herself…lady, you didn’t even give me a chance to work in front of the customers and when I did you were in your office not paying attention! She worked two hours with...

A journey of health and wellness. Christmas is Next Week! 7 Years Post VSG →. March 14, 2016. I don’t know why I feel this way about my job. Perhaps it’s the longevity. I’ve been here since I graduated high school. In May, it’ll be 27 years. The reason I haven’t left this place is because I have 6 weeks of vacation. I love my vacation time. If I were to go to something different, I certainly wouldn’t have that much vacation. I’m sick of this cubicle. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. My Bright Shin...

A journey of health and wellness. Work – Depression. Midlife Work →. Christmas is Next Week! December 14, 2015. Can you believe it? Christmas is next week already. And, so far no snow. I’m looking forward to some time off work. I will be off starting the 24. And don’t have to return until January 4. What I keep telling myself each morning is that it could be worse. I could be back in that hospital again. Lord knows I don’t want to go back there again. With that, I’ll bring this blog post to a close.

A journey of health and wellness. Who are You to Judge? Where Have I Been? October 8, 2014. Where do I begin? My diagnoses ranged from Severe Depressions, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, and Schizoaffective. Yes, my hospitalizations were at a Mental Hospital. I’ve made great progress so far because I’m now back to work. Of course, I’m taking it slow. I work 9 am to 3 pm three days a week. I get re-evaluated by my Psychiatrist on Monday the 13. I could keep going, but I’ll stop here. Where the Ca...

Getting Fit Daily
Monday, October 17, 2011. When I used to train at Gibson's Gym in Manchester, Connecticut, one of the slogans on the back of the gym T-shirts read, "It doesn't matter what kind of car you drive. What matters is the size of the arms hanging out of the window.". Big arms not only symbolize masculinity, but they're also the most visible body part you have. So it's no surprise that big arms seem to be what every guy, and even many women, want. Trust me, there's a method to this madness. These workouts will h...
