Grandma and Grandpa Thompson have been here enjoying seeing their new granddaughter. Heather and I are both trying to recoup on sleep, though that seems to be an uphill battle with an 8 month old on backwards schedule. Saturday, July 28, 2007. Just spent some more time playing. Lots of playing, lots of bottles, lots of vomit. Welcome to parenthood. Eating was going much better until we discovered she appears to have a latex allergy as she was developing an awful rash around her mouth. Friday, August 3, 2007. This morning we got our passport and an updated medical report for Jaidyn today. No problems there. Now we just are still waiting on a call from the US Embassy for another visa interview. Yesterday we took a day trip out to Halong Bay. It was a 3 hour van ride out to the bay, we spent a few hours on a boat and hiked up lots of steps up to a cave. Then rode back. Here's a few pics. A stop at the beach for 30 minutes to give Jaidyn yet another first, wading in sand and ocean.

Wednesday, August 8, 2007. Just letting everyone know that we'll be getting into Nashville about 3:36pm on Sunday on Delta from Atlanta. Will be nice to be home. He is 11 months old now, it has taken us this long to get all of his paperwork done so he could avoid quarantine once he got to Hawaii. It was stressful, but worth it, and it all worked out in the end. Hmmm. Congrats on finally getting your puppy home! Such a handsome boy! And the green really brings out his eyes :). We have a NUMBER!
