We had hoped to get away during the boys summer school and fall term break, but John had to work. It was probably best, because we went to Palm Springs (La Quinta), which of course is the desert, and it was hot. The pools were lots of fun, and we all enjoyed the down time. I am first on the list, so I will be at the hospital before the sun comes up. I am thankful that I will be awake for the procedure. I was not real happy about being put under. It was a nice, low-key gathering. My sister and husband drove it, and my dad's brothers and their wives joined in for the big day. My mom was ready to see her grandsons. Life with 2 small boys and a busy husband. Wednesday, July 2, 2008. I went in early this morning. A friend drove me to the hospital, so John could get the boys up, fed and to school. Many thanks to Tiffany for offering to take me! It was so helpful! So I am resting and relieved to have this surgery over with. Next training for a 5K! In other news, the boys are back to school. I always seem to be playing catch up here. Such is life. Here are 2 pictures, one of Henry throwing a ball, and the other of Michael hitting the ball. Here is an early pigeon picture. He has gotten alot better with his birds, and is drawing many on a wire kissing each other. The are awesome drawings. What gorgeous kids you have!

Just a quick post to let you all know about Maria's visit with her neurosurgeon on Monday - he took a lot of X-rays and determined that everything looks great and that she could likely get her braces (neck and body) off in two weeks - that is Monday, October 16th!
