Shellintons's Art, Design and other Creative Stuff. Art, Design and other Creative Stuff. Archive for June, 2011. June 27, 2011. Well, it seems my post regarding a spiritual free for all, was timely. That was very tongue in cheek but I like it so will leave it in. This is also a long meander about how this weekend has made me look at myself and my work in a whole new light. So…. She looks at the rain. And she fights for her life. And you begin to learn. That kisses aren't contracts. And presents aren't promises. And you begin to accept your defeats. With your head up and your eyes ahead. With the grace of a woman. Not the grief of a child. Rythms of a Syncopated Heart. You Might Want to Know. Here It Comes.Again. The Thing We Call Passion: Melancholy. The Thing We Call Passion: Restlessness. Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Yes I do. Every single day. And yes. It hurts. You will heal...

Doodle Magic | Zebra Sounds
https://jseew.wordpress.com/2011/04/27/doodle-magic
A Wedding (in 5 parts). The Friday List, 4/29/11 →. April 27, 2011. Since stumbling onto doodle therapy. Last November, I’ve become a doodle zealot. I’ve always idly scribbled away during meetings and phone calls and. Arguments with my muse, but since November, I’ve committed myself. I doodle with glee, watching my unedited thoughts drop on to the page in visual form. It’s trippy. And fun. And, yes, therapeutic. Pam, trying out her new pens. (This one is hanging above my desk! There's room in our lives for everything we love. Wednesday, February 9, 2011. The Campfire Method: How I Learned to Play Guitar. The Campfire Method: How I Learned the Guitar. By the time I was twelve, I had spent a lot of time camping with the Girl Scouts. Two weeks every summer and a few weekends each school year with my troop in the lodge were so packed with memories that they seem in retrospect to be a big chunk of my childhood. Oh my gosh. The epitome of confidence, usefulness, expression, cool.

Beautiful | This is not a blog
https://thisisnotcsmith247sblog.wordpress.com/2011/03/03/beautiful
This is not a blog. Knitting and what not. How serious can it be? March 3, 2011. I have this weird quirk – yeah I know, I have tons, but I’m only going to talk about one right now. It may be because when I was growing up I never saw anyone who looked like me, or that I had no one to help me understand this concept, but, it seems that in many ways I created my own definition of what Beautiful means. So here it is: Crazy Caroline’s definition of Beautiful. Beautiful is someone who is smart, funny and kind.

Three (Big) Little Things | Zebra Sounds
https://jseew.wordpress.com/2011/05/10/three-big-little-things
Like Zebra Sounds… on steroids →. Three (Big) Little Things. May 10, 2011. I read this little piece. That claims the age of irony is out, and the age of earnestness is in.”It turns out,” Lizzy Acker writes, that “everyone is finally getting sick of all their stories being filtered through a lens of hipness with all the feelings couched in inside jokes.”. I am mostly uncool. I love that. Think about how freeing that notion really is. What will you give yourself permission to do today? And tagged 3 things.
