Aybee's Blog: May 2008
http://ivycab.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
My day-to-day ten cents worth. Tuesday, May 27, 2008. The long planned mommies' outing finally realized last weekend. We went to Olavi's summer cottage at Hartola and enjoyed an all-filipino weekend - meaning we did nothing but cook Filipino food (except for Emily's nordic tomato and mozarella). We have been talking about what to cook, we actually ended up having a lot of ingredients with us. Here was our weekend menu. just writing them down make me want to do this again! Bilo-bilo (in short, tira-tira).

Aybee's Blog: 3 Birthdays in a row
http://ivycab.blogspot.com/2008/08/3-birthdays-in-row.html
My day-to-day ten cents worth. Monday, August 25, 2008. 3 Birthdays in a row. It's never been this hectic before. There are three of us in the family celebrating our birthdays on the same week (me on the 25th, Janina's 1st bday on the 28th then Joonas' on the 30th). It took us some time to decide should we have separate parties and who should we invite in each event. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. 3 Birthdays in a row. Friday, September 16, 2011. That my friends, is a Segway. A promo came up for Segway tours and so Jaye and I (and a couple of our Pinoy friends) got some tickets to try it. We couldn’t care less about the tour itself, we just wanted to ride a Segway. Next they’re going to scare you about the 37 dollar fee you need to pay in case your Segway gets a flat tire - Don’t get it. For starters, that just doesn’t make any sense. Why would I need to pay more if your own equipment breaks d...The guide goes on by te...

Aybee's Blog: Birthday Bash
http://ivycab.blogspot.com/2008/08/birthday-bash.html
My day-to-day ten cents worth. Sunday, August 31, 2008. I have been stressing about Janina's birthday party for the past two nights, and now it's finally over. There was a 95% attendance among the invitees, so we barely made everyone fit in the living room. It was a good idea splitting the guests in batches (family first then the friends afterwards). The cooking was also a huge success. I got a lot of praises for my "langhap sarap" a.k.a Jollibee tasting spaghetti (Salamat sa Banana Ketchup! Happy Birthd...

Arn's Blog: 2011 Chicago Air and Water Show
http://arnoldrocks.blogspot.com/2011/08/2011-chicago-air-and-water-show.html
Tuesday, August 23, 2011. 2011 Chicago Air and Water Show. It’s the second largest festival in Chicago where different aircrafts perform stunts along the Lake Michigan shore. Admission is free so all you need to do is go to the beach and look up. There are also boats and other watercrafts really, who cares? Before anything though, have this song playing on the background… you know, for effect. Next was a yellow plane from Matt Chapman Aerobatics who was probably drunk the way he was flying his plane.

My day-to-day ten cents worth. Tuesday, December 25, 2007. Santa Clause Came to Town! And he did not bother to question it anymore. The kids were more than surprised. Which is an understatement) when they heard a knock at the door after the dinner, and out came Santa Clause! They were screaming and jumping for joy, I think Riitta and Olavi's place havent' been that noisy for almost 20 years. And just like the cookie making. The rest of the evening was spent telling stories, singing christmas songs, enjoy...

My day-to-day ten cents worth. Monday, December 08, 2008. How To Bake A Father's Day Apple Pie. 1 Pick up the fallen pieces of apples from the table. Do this in a very slow motion so as not to distract mom from whatever she is doing. 2 Throw the pieces of apples to the flour mixture - QUIETLY. Wait for mom to put the mixture to the baking pan and wait for 20 minutes until ready. 3 Nam, nam! The finished product. Oh and act excited and surprised! Hahaha. you guys in town? My day-to-day ten cents worth. Wednesday, September 17, 2008. Arnold's American Cinnamon Roll. Just launched the Spinny Cinnamon Rolls 3 weeks ago. I just learned about it from the English magazine I picked up from the mall while waiting for Jarno to get his haircut done. I made Jarno promise that we would go have meryenda at Arnolds' during the weekend. And since there is huge likelyhood that we will forget. I placed it on my phone's to do list (plus an alarm! Links to this post. Kala, Kala, Kala".
