When we say that we are a “Reformed” church we simply mean to say that we, as a church, subscribe to the doctrines, or teachings, of the Reformation and the following Puritan era of the 16th and 17th Century. Among these truths would be the following:. We believe that the Bible teaches the absolute sovereignty of God in every aspect and detail of history, life and salvation. We believe that the scriptures teach the “Doctrines of Grace” or what is commonly called Calvinism.
