It's definitely a bigger touristy town, but the lack of larger roads makes it really quaint. Highlights from our day -. Women washing clothes in the lake early in the morning. Walking into the shopping/restaurant area of San Pedo. The garden at our hotel. Che is everywhere in Guatemala. EVERYWHERE! Adios for now,.

The Guatemala Friendship School Foundation. Join us on our adventure to Guatemala, July 19th through July 30th, 2010. Jul 27, 2010. Yesterday we drove from Chichi to Panahachel, then took a small boat to San Pedro; where we will be spending the last two full days of our trip before heading home. (SP is the mini 'vacation' part of our adventure. Time to relax! The boat ride over. Water, water and more water. Out our front door. We're maybe 20 yards from the lake. Not bad for 100Q ($10-ish) a night.

The Guatemala Friendship School Foundation. Join us on our adventure to Guatemala, July 19th through July 30th, 2010. Jul 26, 2010. We spent yesterday at the Chichi Sunday market buying little Guatemalan trinkets for Friendship Week, the GFSF's biggest yearly fundraiser. The market was crazy busy; tourist buses drive in from other destinations (like Antigua) to haggle and shop. It was a much different experience than the quiet country side of Momos. Photos from our day -. The church in town.

The Guatemala Friendship School Foundation. Join us on our adventure to Guatemala, July 19th through July 30th, 2010. Shared, with Doug, his dream of having a schoolhouse in the village, as they had none. Abraham had been teaching his classes outdoors! In the summer of 1999, Doug returned to Momostenango to supervise the construction of the one-room schoolhouse, which was Abraham’s dream. We have now educated over 150 students and are approaching our 10 year mark in making a difference in the lives of so...
