Here's some obligatory foodporn photos from Thanksgiving. I made veggie sushi last year and the year before that was a bottle of wine and vegan pizza that I ate solo. I'm currently in the process of making a disturbing amount of cookies. Veganizing recipes from my Gramma :) Yum stuff! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). G-Funk and The Duke.

Furious Music From An Open Door: Petrified Wood!
http://furiousmusic007.blogspot.com/2013/02/petrified-wood.html
Furious Music From An Open Door. Oh, ya know, every day stuff. Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Petrified wood from the backyard creek. This stuff is pretty plentiful but it never fails to excite me. I have a pretty hefty hoard of it now, this is just my latest find. (with my pet resurrection fern! My geologist friend told me the petrified wood around here is usually 10-30 million years old. So cool. March 1, 2013 at 11:53 AM. Makes me feel young again! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). G-Funk and The Duke.

Count your chicken! We're taking over!: Red in Tooth and Claw
http://nutcase007.blogspot.com/2015/05/red-in-tooth-and-claw.html
Saturday, May 30, 2015. Red in Tooth and Claw. They're pretty cute right? Lookit those cute little dirty faces. So innocent, so sweet. Or not. The first time I saw the male, he was running along with a rabbit he had just killed. Well yeah, nature. Gotta eat, gotta feed those baby badgers. Watched him head to his burrow and then got lucky enough to see both male and female pop their heads out of the burrow. (excuse me, cute! June 6, 2015 at 7:23 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Count your chicken! We're taking over!: So plague-y, but so cute.
http://nutcase007.blogspot.com/2015/05/so-plague-y-but-so-cute.html
Sunday, May 24, 2015. So plague-y, but so cute. Lookit this little yellow-bellied marmot friend. Lookit! So what if he might carry the plague, he's freaking adorable. I've seen a few around here, but this is the smallest one I've ever seen (also, the least mangy). Update kinda: I'm down in SE ID at the moment following sage-grouse and trying to learn all the vegetation out here for a couple months. YES! They are cute and remind me of the Groundhogs down the lane. May 26, 2015 at 4:40 PM. Frank Church Riv...

Count your chicken! We're taking over!: Daily Dose of Moooose
http://nutcase007.blogspot.com/2015/04/daily-dose-of-moooose.html
Saturday, April 11, 2015. Daily Dose of Moooose. Hey lookit this guy! This is from a couple months ago when we attempted to go birding at Turnbull NWR in Eastern Washington. I think we saw a painfully disappointing 8 species, which was pretty ridiculous. However, this moose friend was a huge bonus, especially since I haven't seen these guys since 2007 or 2008. Moooose! This guy looked like he had recently shed his antlers. In other notes, I've been in civilization way too long and it's breaking me. Arans...

Sunday, November 29, 2009. This is one of the many White-tailed Kites that hangs out at Fay's Slough, just down the road from us. They seem to flush way too easily so I was pretty happy when this picture came out all right. I took this last week, on an extremely windy day (I lost my hat twice! I always love seeing these birds, they're so regal looking! This is my first post for Bird Photography Weekly (below) - looks like fun! Labels: Bird Photography Weekly. November 29, 2009 at 10:05 PM.
