The presentations by the Elders were great and we learned much from this experience. When we arrived at the Stake Center in Kirtland, Sister Ensign, who works in the mission office, said that Sister Redd was looking for us. I had no idea who or why. Then we saw her! The historic fiction novel series "A Banner Is Unfurled" has really given us a bit insight to the background of a family here in Kirtland and also, as I wrote in a previous blog, we are living in Joel Hills Johnson's home. Sunday, August 30, 2009. Sunset on Lake Erie. Last week we finished up at the Morley Farm and the Workmans picked us up and we went to Perry to see the sunset on Lake Erie. It was spectacular! The sky was clear and we just sat there and enjoyed the beauty that was before us. How can anyone deny that there is a God in Heaven when there are beauties like this that we can experience. Monday, December 8, 2008. What a great day for a race. This was Maddie's first 5k and she did amazing. She took 2nd place in her age group. Isn't this picture great?
