Thursday, October 30, 2008. For the last week and a half I have been in a weakened condition. One of my life long nemesis has been poison oak. Growing up in poison oak free Siskiyou County I didn't encounter this dire enemy until I went to college in Santa Cruz. So harmless looking.yet so deadly.ok, not deadly, but I want to be dead (ly). Scientific explanation of why I want to rip my flesh off.). I would continue to encounter ol' P.O. occasionally for years until moving here. Aaaha! I was not prepared f...

Wednesday, March 11, 2009. Sliding Rock with the Girls. One beautiful Sunday afternoon just a few short weeks ago (hard to believe as I sit in multiple layers of fleece, freezing in unusually chilly weather in Portland) a group of us girls headed out to Sliding Rock for cocktails and soaking in the pools. It was the loveliest time I've ever had there. Beautiful skies, cool blue water and fabulous company. And a great idea for a Girls Spa Day was hatched here. March 14, 2009 at 12:50 PM. Wednesday, June 24, 2009. Scrub It, Kook". Sunday was setting up perfectly; nice-sized south with a long period, well-timed tide, and offshore winds. My first wave turned into a wall of death which I somehow escaped unscathed after getting sucked up and over the falls, much to the amazement and amusement of Jason and Xavier. The next 2 hours produced some incredible in and out barrels. Heavy scab, bra. Scarred for life.". Our friends Polu and Moi. Ned, summoning Poseidon:. Ned, Polu, and Moi IV:.
