Wednesday, October 12, 2011. I had this weird idea in class the other day when my students were taking a quiz about camouflage ghost animals. So I sort of just took this tiger fish and made its stripes camo-colored, and purposely disregarded the outline to give it a sort of ghostly look. Wednesday, October 12, 2011. Bird Chillin' in a Sketchbook. So here's something new I've been trying out lately. Layering some cool watercolor/acrylic washes and doing a pen and ink drawing on top of them. The texture on the washes is actually little bits of bath salt I put on the paper when the color was drying, and it came out pretty cool I thought. More to come soon on this front.
