If I can finish my essay for Cronan this weekend, then I'm still doing great because that leaves me two complete weeks to work on a bloody research paper that I have the same angular grasp upon as a marble has on being square. It's realizing the freedom to speak the prayer, "Remeber, merciful Jesus, that I am the cause of your journey." It's really what I needed right now. In the grassy area behind the various tables, some students are lobbing a football back and forth. Each time they throw the football, I secretly hope someone misses the ball rocketing it onto someone's booth causing confusion and indignant stars as the victims find towels to sop up the mess left by their now empty water bottles. I know I like it when people update their live journals, so I'll update mine. The two activities that I feel really defined my work ethic last semester, reading my Bible and working out, have completely vanished over break. I'm struggling with the purpose behind their vanishing. Is it laziness? You know, I really couldn't tell ya.

When I close my eyes, eveything is clear. Peace is just a whisper away. Sunday, July 31, 2005. Most of my poems are always these little twirling thoughts that whisp around in my head the way a cotton does in the wind. If I have a pen and paper handy I will write them down. Occasionally, I'll expand on them, but usually not. Sometimes I think I might not be that bad if I were ever disciplined enough to edit my work. Cut me some slack! Lord, guide me through this night. My headlights ain't workin' right.
