I guess thats just a symptom of winter, and me not going on a trip over the break. So while this post may technically be late in the realm of year-end lists, it is. Friday, June 13, 2014. This was supposed to be a recap of my trip to the Belmont Stakes, but it turned into something else. I embarked on a week-long trip to cover the Belmont Stakes and California Chrome’s shot at Triple Crown immortality knowing he was probably going to lose. Deep down, I felt Chrome’s hourglass of good fortune had drained its final sands. You can only have so much of it, and win streaks usually only last with careful handling. And you know what? Tuesday, February 23, 2010. The cover for Ink in the Blood is in the Clash of the Covers over at Embrace the Shadows blog this week. And it’s going up against two other gorgeous covers, one of which is from Larissa. Newest book, Ecstasy Unveiled. She’s one of my all time favorite authors. If you haven’t read her, I highly recommend you giving her work a chance. It’s dark and edgy and just fantastically written. Actually, I have the Embrace the Shadows blog to thank for introducing me to her stories.
