Thursday, March 18, 2010. The Truth, and I didn't write it. Artist Dick Beasley Quotes:. It is the artist’s need for making choices and his need to interpret ideas and words that make it possible for him to be truly unique. It is the uniqueness and individuality of ideas that distinguishes the artist from the craftsman. The ultimate goal of the visual artist, it seems to me, is to create visual unity – an agreement among all the parts that says, “We belong to each other.”. Links to this post.

Stephanie Carolyn: January 2013

http://campbellillustration.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, January 29, 2013. I am working on some book related illustrations for a more analogous body of work to go in my portfolio. I still have to draw all those little bottles. . . I'm also going to re-do some homework pieces from school. You may remember this one. I like this facial expression in this drawing better. And that Rockwellish profile to the side of the original was not up to par. I am only a sketch! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Michigan, United States.

Stephanie Carolyn: Fall 2011 Sketchbook.

http://campbellillustration.blogspot.com/2011/12/fall-2011-sketchbook.html

Sunday, December 11, 2011. This sketchbook is FULL. which means it's time to start a new sketchbook and who doesn't love big books full of blank paper? Oh, that's just me. Uh, well then, this is awkward. . . Flipping through these pages has made me realise two things. Firstly that my style is coming along mych better now, and secondly, that I really love Sirens. They're like moody, creepy, mermaids. December 11, 2011 at 8:37 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Michigan, United States.

I'm doing a creepy comic project for my photo class So I've been cooping myself up in my studio listening to creepy music like the soundtrack to Series of Unfortunate Events by Thomas Newman. I sure love creepy things, it's too bad I'm so optimistic and stuff, I never get to make any scary things. I can't wait to show off this short comic! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). South Shore Bindery

Welcome to South Shore Bindery! We are a small Canadian bindery specializing in restoration of collectible books from the 16th to the 19th century. Our specialty is the archival restoration of leather and vellum bindings and manuscripts. Rare and collectible books are restored in function and appearance, without altering the value of the book. If a binding cannot be replaced without changing the structure we recommend the use of archival boxes, covered in leather, to fit with the style of the library.
