As such, structured and unstructured opportunities for social growth are fostered seven days a week. Students are provided with frequent structured events that are well attended. Academics at Giant Step are divided into Step classes and Credit classes. Whether or not Step I students attend classes at a local college or university, they all experience the Step classes offered at Adelphi University’s Hauppauge satellite campus. Students are transported to and from classes by Step drivers. The Adelphi campus is approximately five minutes from the students’ apartments. Suffolk Community College, Ammerman Campus.
