Saturday, January 31, 2004. Ill be at work tommorow. Today I came accross the worst example of user interface design in the entire world. Its oms egizmo made by amstrad that allows you to send emails from your phone. Attached to the device in large red letters is a piece of cardboard that says (and I quote) :. You have absolutely NO CHANCE of working this device without reading the instruction manual". And the even admit it on the box. Way to go guys! Posted by cliff at 5:55 PM. Links to this post. Sunday, November 30, 2003. Well I've finally made the first steps towards a website for the new version of StarLines INC, which will be known as Starship Tycoon. Heres the website so far:. All I need to do now is redirect the domain name, Ive also set up a discussion forum for the beta of the game. Posted by cliff at 3:53 PM. Links to this post. Saturday, November 29, 2003. I'm still stuck on the same level in Call od Duty, firing at German motorcylists from that truck using panzerfausts. bah! Things are...

Sunday, August 31, 2003. I have just finished watching Tuxedo, the latest Jackie Chan film. My god this film is bad. Its one of the worst I've seen in ages. I feel embarrased for Jackie that he is in such a poor film. This is so far behind classics like Rush Hour or Shanghai noon, or some of his earlier more obscure work. It saddens me to think that the scriptwriters and co-stars of this film might still have jobs. Posted by cliff at 8:51 PM. Links to this post. Posted by cliff at 1:07 PM. Anyway I've mo...

We’ve been reading his stuff, and he clearly knows what he’s talking about! We salute you, Jack Thompson! The problem is...

Lemmy&Binky: October 2006

Tuesday, October 31, 2006. America: It's not big, not funny and not clever! Those irony-lovin' Americans failed to buy into the Click the Spot mania that's sweeping the globe. WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT? IT'S BRILLIANT, CAN'T YOU SEE THAT? Click the Spot has been blammed. Within 10 minutes of posting on Newgrounds, it's been sodding blammed! Our masterpiece, our life's work, discarded like some piece of rubbish (or "trash", as THEY would probably call it). Apparently Click the Spot, and I quote, "sucks! We'll...

Zoombapup - British Indie: April 2008
http://zoombapup.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Zoombapup - British Indie. A personal blog about the up's and down's of my life as an indie game developer. Saturday, April 05, 2008. The making of LEAF - Part 1 - Creating Villagers. The starting point for my implementation of AI characters in LEAF, is to think of the reasons why my AI characters are going to want to do anything interesting. This leads me to think about how I define thier motivations and how I encode them for use by the AI. How do you define motivations? Now this is a tricky one. I ...

Zoombapup - British Indie. A personal blog about the up's and down's of my life as an indie game developer. Saturday, December 22, 2007. Behavior trees and a certain castaway. I've been playing with various AI problems for [many years now] and for anyone who has tried to do any form of AI, particularly with state machines and heirarchical state machines, you'll have felt that there was something missing. One of the things that strikes me, is that a lot of well known british games, particularly from compa...
