I decided it was time to clean out the storage unit. No point in moving stuff that I wasn't going to use. Add to that the fact that my free weekend coincided with the annual Route 11 Yard Crawl (quite the event), I decided to go for it. So I slapped on some price tags and set up shop with my aunt and grandmother for the day.

Now, however, living in the D.C. metro area, I have taken my fair share of taxi rides. But, they are always schedule rides, with the little yellow cab waiting out front for me at my specified time of arrival. I had never actually hailed a taxi. It was quite the moment. I had no trouble hailing the taxi, but I also seemed to be cheesing it up more than my normal smile...

Sometimes you just have to hit the screw harder. July 16, 2011. It's been almost a week, and I feel nothing has changed. I cannot recall feeling so negative for so long. I realize that not sharing the causes leaves this somewhat dry and whiny. But the details are just too fresh and bring out too much pain. All of this bleakness makes finding bright spots easier.
