The land is well drained, has a small stream, and some huge rocks. It is difficult to access the land from our house though. There is a gorge and creek between us and the land. The real problem isn't access for Wendy and I since we could simply walk along the road. What we don't want is the cats following us on the road. Cats and traffic create flat cats. Ok, what cats? Don't they look well behaved? More photos of the new land.

Well another year is flying by. We are making progress on many projects. An ongoing project is the addition to our house. Here we are around the end of 2007, putting up sheetrock. In January, the addition sheetrock was complete enough to insulate the attic. I chose blown-in cellulose and we pumped 23 bales into the space. We painted and were able to occupy the addition in early February.

The Photovolatic System Installation. In late 2005, we realized that if I was ever going to install a PV system, I needed to start. The starting point was contact with Renovus Energy. This chapter is dedicated to the memory of Lady Gray, 1989-2005. This year, I had two major projects. One was to build a garden shed by the garden so that we didn't have to haul stuff back and forth. The other was an addition to the house. The garden shed turned out pretty well. Here it is framed. Note the blue sky. And here it is pretty well done. The wood stacked inside is to be the doors as soon as it dries a little.

Lots has changed. First, my maternal grandmother passed away in late December 2009 at 103. While going through her stuff, my Mom found this Christmas card of me and my brothers.
