250 million children between the ages of five and seventeen are child laborers. 75 million are less than 10 years old. 180 million work in extremely dangerous conditions. 7 million are involved in slavery, debt bondage, prostitution, pornography, and trafficking. This area is also used as a toilet by the slum-dwellers as there are no latrines or toilet systems within the slum. Disease in slums like this is rampant.
