Giggles, Wiggles and Wonder: January 2013
http://giggleswigglesandwonder.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Giggles, Wiggles and Wonder. A journal of learning and discovery. Friday, January 25, 2013. Cullen has been enjoying a couple of fun enrichment classes through a local homeschool group, GA-EPH. Every Wednesday morning, he meets with other homeschoolers for an art class and a hands-on science class.. The art teacher presents information on a particular artist or art movement, the class discusses, then the kids work on a related project. Here are a couple of Cullen's creations.. Giggles, Wiggles and Wonder. A journal of learning and discovery. Friday, December 7, 2012. A Peek at Our Week. This has been a week of crazy ups and downs with Cullen's nasty cold, fever and unexplained sleep challenges. Even in the most difficult times, there are moments that shine. And I am especially thankful for the flexibilty of learning at home when he isn't feeling well. Book in progress this week is Lassie, Come Home. As we finish it up. Though too sick to make his piano lesson this week, he is ...

Giggles, Wiggles and Wonder. A journal of learning and discovery. Tuesday, August 27, 2013. Curriculum for 6th Grade Year. We've already begun our school year, ramping up to a full load by next Monday. I am especially excited that Cullen has made it to the logic stage. He is a natural debater! Conversations with him have become as enlightening for me as for him. Regularly features a half-price special. I will supplement with logic and critical thinking practice throughout the year. As some of the other g...

http://katfaith.blogspot.com/2013/04/pencil-fun.html
April 22, 2013. I was emailed this one time (and would give credit if I could), and thought it was amazing, so I thought I'd look it up again and post it here. This guy carves pencils, and he carves all sorts of stuff. From the alphabet to a mailbox, to a shoe, hearts, or a saw. Well, that's all for now! I'll be posting again soon, because the robins are getting close to hatching! Labels: did you know? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My Stick Family from WiddlyTinks.com. Subscribe to my blog:.

Bloodroot Ink Poetry: July 2011
http://bloodrootink.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 31, 2011. Now the dam is broken. After years of tireless service. Protecting natural waterways from more. Than they should handle. According to someone's estimation. Now the river may run swift again,. May sometimes flood its banks,. And the dead and dry will rise up green. In lush and tameless life. Now the stream may sing once more. Its trickle ripple song,. And the forgotten pond may be reborn. A silent, sacred refuge. But I did not foresee the power. Of too much too long held. Links to t...

Monday, September 5, 2011. On the day of the funeral. A caramel cake for you. Made just the way Granny taught me. Until you’re sure it’s ruined,. Stir the smoking, sputtering liquid. Into sweet buttery cream, then. Spoon over split layers of. To sit with you. In your raw, fresh grief. And to remember,. Share with them a cup. Of strong hot coffee. And a taste of this,. Bloodroot Ink Poetry: reunion
http://bloodrootink.blogspot.com/2012/06/reunion.html
Monday, June 25, 2012. We gave in that day. Long and delicious,. Not at all our usual. We lifted up a rare and. As the canopy of green spilled. Innocence down in droplets. But walls that had so long contained. My spirit, built stone by stone. Of remembered pain,. Mortared with shadows and secrets. By long labor of my own hands,. Startled, my smile began to falter…. In that moment,. For the first time. And my heart swelled. To sudden pain,. You looked down into. Tropic water, that one time. In that moment,.
