Gigi's on the road. Niet goed weten wat te verwachten van Quito, zijn we aangenaam verrast geweest door deze grote stad. Kwam het door de Semana Santa (Pasen), wat uitbundig gevierd werd, of door het gezellige centro historico of de combinatie? We hebben ons geamuseerd! Paaseitjes worden hier niet geraapd, maar ze vieren Goede Vrijdag. Met als gevolg, de nieuwe stad loopt leeg en de oude stad zit propvol om de befaamde paarse processie voorbij te zien komen. Wij dus ook! Daar was het ook al niet zo slech...
