The Group for the Independent Learning Disabled, known as GILD, is a non-profit support group for adults in the north Baltimore area with cognitive challenges such as learning disabilities, autism, and Down syndrome. Through GILD, members form friendships and plan weekly social activities together. GILD also conducts regular classes in Life Skills and Social Skills taught by trained professionals.
