News from Hawk Hill Farm. Thursday, September 23, 2010. Wow, I am WAY behind. On keeping up with all the news here! The days are growing noticeably shorter, and summer's heat is having a last hurrah this week, with temperatures climbing into the 90s. Rain and cooler temps are on the way, both will be. Appreciated. The number of hummingbirds is declining rapidly, as they begin their annual trip to the southern hemisphere- smart snow birds! 65279;. Will demonstrating his "Grandpa Face".

News from Hawk Hill Farm: Is it SPRING yet??
http://newsfromhawkhillfarm.blogspot.com/2011/03/is-it-spring-yet.html
News from Hawk Hill Farm. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Is it SPRING yet? This year, we each picked a prize that could be easily ordered on-line. I wanted a new book from amazon.com and Ed wanted golf balls (to replace those he lost last year, lol). Well, Ed if you are reading this, I've already ordered the Pro V Ones! And this really is more than fair, as I am enjoying six weeks off between leaving my job at Wabash County and starting a new job in Rochester. This is the longest break I have had since I...

News from Hawk Hill Farm: November 2010
http://newsfromhawkhillfarm.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
News from Hawk Hill Farm. Saturday, November 13, 2010. It's mid-November in northern Indiana, and we are still experiencing 60-70 degree daytime temperatures. Very unusual, and odd when it is growing dark by 6:00 PM! The horses are still happy on pasture, which is saving up our winter hay, but they look a little uncomfortable in their furry winter coats. Had a lovely time on Thursday evening: went to the Honeywell Center in Wabash for dinner out and saw the show "Drumline." It was amazing!

The horses and Walter Donkey have been hiding out in the barn, keeping cool, and we have been mowing the grass every other day it seems! It has been a wonderful month! So here is a family photo album of the past couple weeks- enjoy! Birthday celebrities with moms and dads.

News from Hawk Hill Farm: May 2010
http://newsfromhawkhillfarm.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
News from Hawk Hill Farm. Friday, May 14, 2010. Walter Donkey Goes For A Walk. Yes, that is exactly what he wants! He wants to walk down the driveway, and then down the road, to see what is out there that he can't see from the pasture. He knows there is SOMETHING on the other side of the hedgerow, and he wants to see what it is. He feels responsible for the herd (he is the MAN of the barn) and he worries about what is there that he doesn't know about.". Well That was certainly detailed. Got a package in ...

News from Hawk Hill Farm: April 2012
http://newsfromhawkhillfarm.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
News from Hawk Hill Farm. Sunday, April 8, 2012. The Easter Turkey Appears. We looked out our front window this morning to see a new friend! A huge and gorgeous tom turkey was strutting his stuff in the field by our woods. We suspect there may have been some lovely ladies shyly watching from behind the trees. Later, he slowly made his way along the edge of the field and came up into our yard briefly, before continuing on his way. What a treat to see such a magnificant bird! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

http://newsfromhawkhillfarm.blogspot.com/2011/01/belated-family-christmas-album.html
News from Hawk Hill Farm. Sunday, January 30, 2011. A Belated Family Christmas Album. Yes, I know. It is January 30. A month and five days after Christmas, but hey, in my copy of the Official Procrastinator's Handbook, I still have 48 hours to get our Christmas photos posted to the blog before they are even LATE! So, in my book I am right on time with getting the family photos up and then can finally say, "Good Bye" to the winter holidays for 2010. Just in time for Valentine's Day! She liked her dress-up...

News from Hawk Hill Farm. Saturday, December 11, 2010. Family Photo Album Thanksgiving 2010. Spent a wonderful week in late November entertaining my cousin Eden from Austin, Texas. Wow, what fun! As this year begins to wind down, I am so full of gratitude and happiness, for all our family and friends, for our home and our animal companions, for having a measure of financial security in these unsettled times, and of course, for the goodness of our life here at Hawk Hill Farm. News from Hawk Hill Farm. Saturday, March 31, 2012. March 31, 2012. No point in trying to "catch up" as it's been nearly a year! So just making a new start with this week's news. Here is what my life is like right now: I just pulled a hamstring washing the dog's feet in a saucepan, and we have a raccoon living on our roof. Otherwise, life goes on as normal:-). I did get one art quilt completed this week and it's now hanging on my sewing room wall:. Has become a great playmate for Buddy. Lol She has been ...
