Pam Christiansen:Painter.Printmaker.Instructor.Collage Artist.Creativity Consultant. Tuesday, October 19, 2010. A few days ago I saw the Picasso exhibit at The Seattle Art Museum. It is an amazing show. The thing I find most inspiring about Picasso, other than his incredible vision and skill, is his commitment to each subject. This is what I was feeling as I worked on this print. Thank you for your comments. Hope you visit this site again. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Pam Christiansen:Painter.Printmaker.Instructor.Collage Artist.Creativity Consultant. Monday, May 24, 2010. This was a fun, a monotype with metallic collage materials. I photographed it with the flash so the shine of the metallic would come through. The shiny surface contrasts with the dullness of the ink so as you move around the piece it is constantly changing it's focal point. Links to this post. Monday, May 17, 2010. The Nothing of Roselight. And what we thought we needed. The living shiver,. On a muscular dark hand,. The glowing cup it holds. Or the toast being proposed. In that same way. Love enters your life,. And the I, the ego,. A corrupt, self-absorbed king,. Dies during the night. Breathe cold new air,. The nothing of roselight. Rumi, from Coleman Barks' A Year with Rumi. Maybe like a water buffalo. Your soul could have chosen. A different kind of body,. One that was not nearly as fragile,. Being other things,.

Pam Christiansen:Painter.Printmaker.Instructor.Collage Artist.Creativity Consultant. Wednesday, January 12, 2011. I broke my wrist during the holidays and have not been able to post or do my art. So glad to be healed and with new inspiration, I'm ready for a new series of monotypes. This one was part of The Roby-King December show. It was an exciting attempt to see how deep of a red I could create ( go to the very middle of the piece). Labels: Deepest Deep 2010. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

I am a multimedia journalist always searching for new ways to perfect my craft. I enjoy learning new things and credit those who I interview, to provide an outlook for their stories to be shared across a variety of platforms. Currently, I am in the process of obtaining a Master of Science in Multimedia Journalism from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA.
