Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Huckle Birthday, Busytown! Cadi had a busytown party this year, her first party with friends! I had an old beat up copy of "Cars and Trucks and Things That Go" by Richard Scarry that I used to make the banner and the kids glued pictures from the book to their goody bags. I made a Huckle cut out for photos :). We played pin the hat on lowly which ended up being walk up and put the hat on lowly because 4 year olds don't like to be blindfolded :). Friday, September 28, 2012. I saw this idea on Pinterest from a blog,. Http:/ www.icanteachmychild.com/2010/09/apple-garland-fruit-of-spirit/. And I loved it! First I thought it was a great seasonal craft and a great reminder to hang the fruit of the Spirit in the house. It's from Galatians, 5:22. I just had to laugh when it kept getting stuck to her feet and hands, even though I imagined that not happening! I wrote patience on the biggest apple because that's probably the biggest one I need to work on!

Thursday, November 29, 2012. My favorite time of year! So much has happened since the last time I blogged! We got an early Christmas gift, our son was born on November 1st and my sister and her family visited shortly after and we celebrated an early Christmas. For the first year since Paul and I have been married I did not put up the Christmas tree before Thanksgiving so it feels weird not having it up yet, but were putting it up tomorrow. hopefully. Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Somewhat political post from a very un-political person. It's the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade and I only know that from the few people who have posted about it on facebook and my awesome sister who blogged about it. Personally I have my own view and I am not a fan of rubbing my opinions or beliefs in someone's face but I think it's important to actually look logically at the stances. People are just going to do what they want to do. Check out my sister's blog if you like :).

Sunday, May 4, 2014. We made a track for our cars to drive on which eventually become a track the kids ran. We had a C discovery Bin. Fun craft using the letter C. Fun with colors, baking soda, and vinegar. Since Cambodia grows a lot of rice we outlined a famous Cambodian temple in colored rice. Making the rice was really easy I just let the rice sit in vinegar and whatever color I wanted then strained it and put it in the over for about 15 min. It's great for crafts. Tuesday, June 9, 2015. B coloring his wagon. C painting a whale. Then we watched some videos of whales! Color by number watermelon. Weaving, B really did not get into this. Water color paintng a wagon used to cross the United States. Putting the nunbers on the watermelon slices in order. Then putting the correct amount of seeds on each number. Matching the slices with the right number to the same amount of seeds on the other slice. The illustration is amazing in this book and we read it many many times!

Monday, June 2, 2014. I keep trying to find healthy recipes that I can hide vegetables and fruit in and I found this winner! I substituted the butter for coconut oil and blended the carrots with the applesauce and egg instead of shredding them. They were extremely moist and definitely a recipe I will keep making!
