I think its so funny how churches (institutional churches) practically took every business model there is in the world and applied it to their institution. Monday, October 11, 2010. Things That Are Good Mixed #1. It is supposedly fall, but its hot. Growing up in the Philippines, if its hot, you either nap, or eat something cold and one of the most common, and colorful, choice would be halo-halo. In Tagalog, halo. Means "mix." Most Filipinos that grew up in the Philippines (like me) have big ol' sweet tooth. Our sweets are sweet and usually starch based, our breads are sweet, and even our spaghetti is sweet. halo-halo.
