In August, through a convoluted chain of events, it happened that my parents and sister spent a few lovely days together in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We enjoyed some walks along the beach (early morning; it is hot. One afternoon my sister, mom, and I went snorkeling at Los Arcos and saw some really interesting critters. We celebrated my sister's birthday twice in Mexico, and both times there was a bona fide flare in the cake.

Monday, July 20, 2015. In April our family had a big weekend-long celebration for Isaac's baptism. Lots of people from both Nephi's and my family traveled here to all be together, and it was great. Thursday, August 06, 2015. When summer rolled around this year, it was time for a big. Exciting trip that I'll talk about a lot in upcoming blog posts. It entailed flying over an ocean and buying six expensive plane tickets. As it turned out, flying on a discount airline from LAX was much, much cheaper than from any Colorado airport, so we did. Which meant we first got to spend a few days enjoying southern California! We were visiting over Memorial Day weekend, and on Monday we all hiked up Cuyamaca Peak.
