Gina's Fight with Cancer. Daily postings of Gina's status for friends and family to keep up with her fight. Monday, October 22, 2012. Well I just got home from the hospital today. I have had a weekend of firsts. My first:. Hospital stay (besides when I was born and when Brett is born). Ambulance ride (even if it was only 0.4 miles). Time being mistaken for a meth-head (more about that later). I can sit and stand for short periods of time and it seems to be getting better as time goes. I love you all!

Gina has been home (at her parents house) and comfortable for the last two weeks. Brett and I have been lucky enough to stay at her parents house and spend all of our time with Gina. The Hospice nurses are a gift to our family with their caring and sensitivity. She is holding her own and we have been able to relax and reminisce over the wonderful 18 years her and I had.

Gina is sleeping almost all day and evening now. For the most part, she has stopped eating and has started to hallucinate and have conversations with people who are not. In the room. Poopy news.it appears that my tumors are growing. Bad tumors! I also hit my 1 year anniversary of my cancer diagnosis on 7/20. Yea me!
