D something alcoholic ( we can't cross the day off the calendar unless there is a forbidden workday. E chocolate of the Rittersport or homemade variety. A last Monday I took and epic walk across the city to the Fernsehturm tv tower, felt like a journey. Through Hansel and Gretel's woods. Ten things I learned about Christmas and Christmas Eve (since we got that day off, and not the real deal). 1 Boredom can be productive, I started yet another crochet project I will most likely not finish. 2 Just because there's Christmasy stuff everywhere doesn't mean that your family and friends will magically appear from across the ocean to drink gluhwein and eat French toast with you. Some of the GAZILLION stairs up to my flat. AJ Silver (lasso artist) and Ray Martin (Elvis, duh) standing by the limo. We went for Schwabisch wine and food. Sehr gut! Thursday, September 18, 2014. 1,000 DAYS TO 100 MILES. I went out for a 3 mile run with East Nasty, a local running group. It was awful. Hot, fatigued and sore, I swore I was done running. I kept running. I started running a lot. Mostly on trails. Mountain races are where it's at! On a Wednesday night run (with East Nasty), Drew Jones said "man, you've come such a long way in the past three years. Monday, January 2, 2012. For my loves of 2011 and beyond xxx. I couldn't sleep so I've decided to reflect. 2011 has been an amazing year. I have moved countries, explored Europe, met some fantastic people I know will now always be in my life, found out life is difficult, but on the flipside, that it can be beautiful. I am so lucky to be where I am, and be happy. I haven't felt this kind of contentment in, I don't know how long. I love you all, you have no idea how much. I will love who loves me, fully.

Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Who knew it would be a sticker book sitting on my table top that would have prompted me to write the first blog post in a really, really long time. I didn't even recognize blogger when I first signed in. But it was. a simple little sticker book. He spent nearly an hour sitting at the table putting stickers in that little book. And the time just keeps speeding by. Thank goodness for those little reminders to help me cherish this time of innocence and magic. Links to this post.
