Ginger's Travel Notes. Kayaking in the Emerald Isle. Biking the Gap of Dunloe. July 19, 2014. After a good night’s sleep to recover from the kayaking trip, we were ready for more action. Today we went for a long bike ride through the hills of Ireland and over the Gap of Dunloe, a pass that cuts between the Macgillycuddy Reeks (a mountain range) and the Purple Mountain.
