The Doll Sweet Journal.: Five Things for Friday
http://www.thedollsweetjournal.com/2015/06/five-things-for-friday.html
The Doll Sweet Journal. Attempts at good living and self-awareness. Friday, June 19, 2015. Five Things for Friday. On Sunday we saw a snake in our backyard. It was the first time we'd seen a snake in the yard since moving here almost five years ago. It was an experience I hadn't been looking forward to. The kids were thrilled, though- especially Sam. He was so excited! It was a long black garter snake with yellow stripes. Sorry Sam, but I hope to never see it again! We have a brand-new grocery store that...

The Doll Sweet Journal.: Sunset and Crabs at Gray's Pier
http://www.thedollsweetjournal.com/2015/06/sunset-and-crabs-at-grays-pier.html
The Doll Sweet Journal. Attempts at good living and self-awareness. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Sunset and Crabs at Gray's Pier. The pier (or boardwalk) extends out over beautiful marshland with beautiful views. The water looks like it carves out the sea grass (or vice versa? And it's really cool-looking. When we got there it was still bright and sunny out. I made it to the end of the pier- it extends pretty far out over the water. Sunset was approaching, but the sun was still fairly high in the sky. It was ...

The Doll Sweet Journal.: Smooth Seas
http://www.thedollsweetjournal.com/2015/06/smooth-seas.html
The Doll Sweet Journal. Attempts at good living and self-awareness. Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Yup, it's another beach post. Surprise, surprise! I wasn't sure if it would or not. That's one of our favorite things at the Cape! In smooth water you can make your own concentric circles. My shadow on the left is huge- I look like an oddly shaped giant! Rocco and John were basically playing a game of "fetch," in which Rocco would throw the ball as far as he could into the water and John would go retrieve it.

The Doll Sweet Journal. Attempts at good living and self-awareness. Friday, June 26, 2015. My 2015 Summer To Do List. I got all of the blog posts done that I wanted to do for documenting last summer before we left for this summer's vacation. It wasn't easy, but I'm glad I got them done! I feel much more caught up now. I have definitely earned my much-needed break from blogging for the rest of the summer! Read lots of books. Read, read, read! I'm channeling my inner Dr. Suess here. Ha! Part of me really w...

The Doll Sweet Journal.: We Finally Went to Mayflower Beach!
http://www.thedollsweetjournal.com/2015/06/we-finally-went-to-mayflower-beach.html
The Doll Sweet Journal. Attempts at good living and self-awareness. Monday, June 22, 2015. We Finally Went to Mayflower Beach! Last summer we finally went to Mayflower Beach, which is one of the most popular beaches on Cape Cod. It's a hard beach to get into because the parking lot fills up so fast due to its popularity. But we made it in and nabbed one of the last parking spots left! When we got to the beach in the morning, the tide was on the low side, but still pretty normal. Do you see John? I took t...

The Doll Sweet Journal.: Our Beach
http://www.thedollsweetjournal.com/2015/06/our-beach.html
The Doll Sweet Journal. Attempts at good living and self-awareness. Thursday, June 18, 2015. These are a few more pictures of "our beach." I'm just going to call it that from now on because I like saying it that way. Obviously it's not ours, but it's the one by our house that we go to the most often, mostly in the evenings as a nice way to finish up the day. It's our beach. Sam brought a boogie board and had so much fun running with it along the beach. I don't think I'm ever going to tire of these views.

Ma Famille Voyageant: From Athens to Santorini
http://cannegieterfamily.blogspot.com/2014/07/from-athens-to-santorini.html
Thursday, July 10, 2014. From Athens to Santorini. I haven't been able to post for awhile because down in the Greek Islands, the internet speed is about as quick as a tortoise. I'll be going out of chronological order for the adventures of the past month, but will try to catch up soon. This was the master bedroom. It had it's own a/c unit and so we were spoiled! The bathroom was great, but it didn't have the lock on the door. We all survived and learned to knock before entering! Once we had arrived in At...

Six SONS and a SUNSHINE: sleep and other important things
http://cani4.blogspot.com/2015/04/sleep-and-other-important-things.html
Six SONS and a SUNSHINE. Who knew we'd end up with such a house of joy? Thursday, April 30, 2015. Sleep and other important things. Here is Matthias in Markus's crib. Markus doesn't need it because, well, you'll see in a later picture. Anna has moved herself to Matthias's bed. I've even changed the sheets to pretty flowers. Sometimes we just pull up the carpet. Couches work too. You can even sleep while you watch a show on your phone. I think the older kids are sleeping in their beds? Marky might like me.

Six SONS and a SUNSHINE: March 2015
http://cani4.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Six SONS and a SUNSHINE. Who knew we'd end up with such a house of joy? Friday, March 27, 2015. Here's the total scholarship offering for Clayton from University of Alabama. He's super excited to get there and get started. He was offered several scholarships from quite a few universities. In the end Bama won and he leaves Aug. 8, to start a new crazy adventure in his life. Sometimes, I like to just watch her sleep. I smiled as she insisted on wearing this Santa hat. It made for a lot of happiness. Anthon...

Six SONS and a SUNSHINE: while I have a minute
http://cani4.blogspot.com/2015/05/while-i-have-minute.html
Six SONS and a SUNSHINE. Who knew we'd end up with such a house of joy? Sunday, May 10, 2015. While I have a minute. Matthias brought me these flowers and I instantly knew which cup they needed to be in. This is one of my Grandmother's cups. She would be so happy it is holding dandelions. I got to put together a veggie tray for an event. I was so pleased with how beautiful it was that I had to take a picture. Look at all those colors. Markus sporting Matthias's sunglasses. He's into stuff now. We even ta...
