Girl Hiking in the Shires. South west coastal path. Sunday, 5 July 2015. Day 62- Gairlochy Lock to Fort Augustus 23.5 Miles. Clouds hung low above Loch Lochy just after leaving camp. After yesterday's low I woke determined to set get today's stretch underway early and get some distance done no matter how hard I'm struggling. There is another wild campsite just a few miles before Fort Augustus which would be my aim today, 20 or so miles ahead. For the first section I'd be. On the top corner of Loch Oich.

Hoping to stay ahead of the hoards I left early, leaving the camp a little before eight and marching the kilometer or so along the road before ducking back into the wooded coastal path. Girl Hiking in the Shires. South west coastal path. Sunday, 31 May 2015. Day 27- Wall Under Wye to Monk's Woods 23.5 miles. Used quarry on the edge of Wenlock Ridge. In the morning I headed straight back up to Wenlock Ridge and stayed there for the next few miles until Much Wenlock. From here it's a long series of lanes and hamlets to the rather muddy Benthall Edge Wood. Crossing the River Severn. Labels: Lands End to OGroats.
