A blog about my Quilting and Creative Writing journeys. Monday, 12 January 2015. About 2.5 years ago I purchased 3 FQ sized pre-printed whole-cloth panels to make a QAYG table runner with. One year ago - oops, upon checking, it was actually. Last December, I set to unpicking the cover strips and the partially sewn binding. Unpicking was all I achieved. I was determined that during this month of January I would get my runner finished. I re-cut the cover strips. Detail photo, showing the backing fabric.

A blog about my Quilting and Creative Writing journeys. Saturday, 1 August 2015. Was the name of the lovely, bright coloured charm square pack used in this quilt. I was looking for something funky, modern and bright to make this girl quilt. When I took the quilt outside for to photograph it, the dark, gloomy winter day seemed not so dull anymore. It certainly brought a smile to my face when the colours seemed to simply pop against the winter hue. This is quilt #5 of 12 planned for the year. Quilt - Aussi...

A blog about my Quilting and Creative Writing journeys. Monday, 29 December 2014. In 2008 I took part in block swaps of 9-patches and cobblestones. It was fun to send off your blocks and receive surprise packages in return. With everything being made from black and white, I put the three projects together into a zip-lock bag and then added a good dose of of zero inspiration, simply because I could not figure out what to do with them. Not quilted, but pieced "Cobbled Nines" quilt top. I've chosen a silver...

A blog about my Quilting and Creative Writing journeys. Saturday, 16 August 2014. Today I sat down at the PC for the first time in many months to actually read yahoo group e-mails and not just check for my spot on the UFO Queens List. It was like running into an old friend. I have had a thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours catching up with everyone. Why didn't I think of that? Thank you all for just being there and for 'listening'. Links to this post.
