Where You Go: October 2014
http://kjhallas.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 31, 2014. A year ago Christin sent me a text: " On this day next year, you are going to have a little pumpkin to dress up! Christin and I are notorious for saving texts i.e. Maid of Honor Speech 2009.). This year I do have a little pumpkin to dress up. What a cutie she is, too! She fought trying on the outfits with Grandma C, but we were still able to dress up as a cupcake/ice cream cone to pass out candy to the 112 neighborhood kids last night. I also had. Friday, October 24, 2014. I had...

http://kjhallas.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 23, 2014. We have been wanting to try out this little grilled cheese restaurant but thought the only locations were in Hilliard or Pickerington. BUT today we were driving around campus and saw a TOM CHEE location on High Street. And. it was almost lunch time! They are also the Home of Grilled Cheese Donuts. I couldn't put any more in my belly but it might be worth a foodie adventure someday. Fancy Grilled Cheese Donuts. Here, Daddy, you should have some crackers. In the 8th month. She'l...

Where You Go: June 2015
http://kjhallas.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 3, 2015. June is for strawberry picking! My child is a very, hungry little girl who will gladly eat through more than "four strawberries on Thursday" and still be hungry. So my mind was set on heading to the western edge of Franklin county (literally on the Madison county line) to Circle S Farm. For some classic strawberry picking with our one-year old as soon as June hit. Imagine my disappointment when the first day of June was 50 degrees. Yikes! Totally psyched at arrival. They loved he...

Where You Go: Herb Gardening
http://kjhallas.blogspot.com/2015/05/herb-gardening.html
Saturday, May 16, 2015. I am letting my regular garden go dormant this year. As a result, I am hoping it yields better veggies next year. Last year we had lettuce, tomatoes, and radishes. The year before we had tomatoes, cantaloupe, and bell pepper. It is time to let the soil rest for a season. I'm 13 months old. and like to play in the dirt! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Where You Go: May 2015
http://kjhallas.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 28, 2015. I caught the first five minutes of a Pioneer Woman episode the other day. She was making an Italian version of her Favorite Meatloaf. I didn't even know she had a favorite meatloaf. But that makes sense. I was inspired. I had extra bread, eggs, parmesan cheese and bacon (yes, she wraps her meatloaf in bacon). So all I needed was meat. I will encourage you to look at her favorite meatloaf. 1 cup Whole Milk. 6 slices White Bread. 1 cup (heaping) Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese. Make ...

Where You Go: June 2014
http://kjhallas.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Radishes and Summer Salads. I love my little garden. This year it holds radishes, lettuce, and the magical-volunteer tomatoes. I, of course, planted the radishes and lettuce but these magical tomatoes keep volunteering to come up on their own year after year. While I'll have to wait until later in the season for the tomatoes, I recently harvested some of the radishes:. Grilled tuna and grilled vegetable salad. Breaded chicken and radish salad. Monday, June 16, 2014. Eva also sle...

Where You Go: January 2015
http://kjhallas.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 21, 2015. A Call to Motherhood. I was overwhelmed by motherhood today. Ironically, it is my own mother's birthday today. She is a great example of answering God's calling to be a mother. This is the article that helped me remember that today. Motherhood is A Calling. My heart is full. I desire to show my daughter God's love through my marriage, my relationships, my actions, my words, my prayers and my heart. God is gracious. God is merciful. God is love. Friday, January 16, 2015. She c...
