GL-1000 Carburetor Balancing

After renovation of my GL1000LTD the carburetors had to be balanced, to make the engine run smooth. I had no fancy apparatus to this job so I decided to build my own, here is a few pictures of the effort, it works just perfect. The restrictor is a piece of plastic tube with a 0,2 mm hole, heat the end of the tube put in a filament from an electric wire, roll/squeeze the warm end of the tube with your fingertips, when cold pull out the filament and the tiny hole is there it stabilizes the needle.

Now, the wife saw how much fun I was having and one evening while I was looking through the classifieds with a tear in my eye, she said Why don t you just get a bike? Well You don t have to ask me twice! I contacted the seller and he agreed to take the carburetors back and refund my money. I must say that everyone on eBay that I have ever dealt with have been good people.
