Rates for service

My rate structure is pretty simple, based on whether my clients use their Macs for business or personal use. These rates are effective as of Nov. 1, 2009. If your Mac is used professionally or to make money, my rates are:. 130 for the first hour, which covers travel expenses (for up to 40 miles from the home office in Asbury Park). 100 each additional hour. If your Mac is used strictly for non-professional or non-income generating purposes, here are my rates:. 80 each additional hour.

WHO I AM . Well, Im Lee Maxwell, and by profession I am:. A Macintosh computer troubleshooter. A computer graphics teacher. A computer graphics troubleshooter. An occasional graphic designer. A Macintosh network designer. By the way, I also am the former president of MacWaves, the Macintosh User Group in Monmouth County (which I encourage all local Macintosh users to join), and also teach graphics courses in the evenings for the Monmouth County Vocational School Districts Evening School for adults.

OTHER THINGS I DO . Here's a short list:. Macintosh upgrades: Why just fix your Mac, when I can make it better. More RAM (you can't be too rich, too young or have enough RAM), bigger hard drive, faster processor, extra video card, a new peripheral, or installing or upgrading new software;I can do all of that, under many circumstances. The details determine the options, of course, but we can talk about that.

How I do it....

HOW I DO IT . Well, that would be telling, but here's a general outline:. 1 I use my extensive knowledge of MacOS versions 7, 8, 9 and X, and formidable skills and intuition, to diagnose the problem and develop a plan of solution. 2 I use some of the best software available to repair problems with software stored on hard drives, the causes of most Mac problems. 3 I explain problems to the client, tell them how I will repair the computer, and tell them what to do to prevent the problem from recurring.
