Glass Intrigues: Alligator Pot Melt
http://www.glassintrigues.blogspot.com/2014/03/alligator-pot-melt.html
Monday, March 31, 2014. I made a pot melt last year and couldn't figure out what to do with it. After returning from a recent trip from Florida, the. 3/8” thick by 9-3/8” diameter, 2 inches tall, weighs 38.9 oz. Here is the finished bowl. I call it up to my ears in alligators. They remind me of an alligators with their mouths open. This is what the pot looked like after a long hold in the kiln. Below you can see the melt. I cut the top off the clay pot using a tile saw because it was too tall to fit in m...
Glass Intrigues: April 2014
http://www.glassintrigues.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 26, 2014. I've always liked the way strip construction looks, especially when using Bullseye Glass French Vanilla. The following piece I made by alternating strips of French Vanilla with clear and added some blue green streaky glass as accents. Then you add random strips of glass finishing it with a lot of clear. This is what the flow bar looked like before it went into the kiln. Then I filled in the corners. The easiest way to do this was to continue alternating strips. I could h...This ...
Glass Intrigues: Primary Colors
http://www.glassintrigues.blogspot.com/2014/09/primary-colors.html
Thursday, September 4, 2014. Primary Colors and then some. There are 6 colors in this bowl. I wont go into the technical details of how I made this but I will tell you there was a lot of cutting on the tile saw. The bowl measures 8" in diameter and is about 1-1/2" deep. It makes me happy! Glass Intrigues: Work in progress
http://www.glassintrigues.blogspot.com/2014/05/work-in-progress_25.html
Sunday, May 25, 2014. In this piece I used pieces from the same flow bar as my previous post. It is finished using sheet glass and strip construction. It still needs to be cold worked and fire polished but I thought I would share. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Just a few pictures of recent work. Visit Glass Intriuges on Etsy. ANTIBANG
Glass in the woods ( 3 ). Glass in the woods is a semi-granular Kontakt library. Left to right, the sound progresses from a wooden granular attack, through mellow centre to a shattering glass top. Front to back the sound has a complex initial overtone structure with a firm sub-osc and mildly detuned pad that pokes out the back of it, all interacting in a cavernous space. Great for slow, cinematic playing. 1,2,3 or 4 parts (not much more, though it’s designed to cope with it).

Thank you Hurricane Isabel! 20 Sep 2003 07:13pm. We didn't have school on neither Thrusday nor Friday. My mom had freaked out the day before the hurricane hit, forcing me to "hurricane proof" our backyard and horse paddocks. That was one hell of a lot of buckets to pick up and dump in a shed, only to wake up the next morning to find. nothing had happened! The power was out 'til 10 am, and our clocks were screwed up. I woke up around 9, thinking it was 1:32 pm! Yep That's about it. :3. 14 Sep 2003 12:42pm.
