Trying to be a glass artist
Glass diary: May 2012
http://glasspages.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Trying to be a glass artist. And then gets renewed. The new bit of glass for the window. There hasn't been any sun since we installed it so I don't know if it diffuses as nicely as the broken one did. Quite nice. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). And then gets renewed. Glass diary: Glass light
http://glasspages.blogspot.com/2011/10/glass-light.html
Trying to be a glass artist. This is the glass lighting piece at Vessel Gallery. In Notting Hill Gate (along with two of my optical illusion pieces). The photo by Ester Segara really makes it look good. I had some reservations about it, though the idea has potential. A whole row of them down the middle of a restaurant would be quite fetching. Are there any architects out there listening? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). How to Spend It. Year 5 and onwards: Life as a glass artist (2008-12).

Trying to be a glass artist. How to Spend It. It seems I am featured in the 5 October edition of the FT's mag How to Spend It. With some rather nice comments that ought be available on the link given. I got two orders within days - which all goes to show how publicity helps. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Glass diary: Vessel Gallery
http://glasspages.blogspot.com/2011/08/vessel-gallery.html
Trying to be a glass artist. I am exhibiting in this show 6 to 29 October with a lighting piece that the gallery is working with me to produce. All quite exciting and a direction I would like to go in. I think there is some commercial potential in lighting. The top right picture in this poster is one of my pieces - I think it will be in the next Crafts. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Year 5 and onwards: Life as a glass artist (2008-12). Glass diary: October 2012

Trying to be a glass artist. The screen is now installed and looks pretty nice - dusk was falling as we finished installing and a mist was coming down over the woodland, so this isn't the best photograph. But a professional one will follow in due course. Next glass event is an exhibition from 1 to 21 November - but then what? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Spikeabell's ramble: Spring bulbs
http://spikeabell.blogspot.com/2015/03/spring-bulbs.html
Visual Diary, sketch book and general commentary.from an artist using glass and mixed media. Monday, March 2, 2015. Such fun opening a parcel this morning from Diggers. Among other selections of Bluebells and Freesias I opted for the 'Gambler's Choice' bulb pack. Inside the pack, were Daffodils, Hyacinths, Bluebells, Tulips, Freesias and Ipheions. I quite like surprises like that. A busy time planting all of those in April. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Http:/ www.spikedeane.com. To BE or not to BE.

Spikeabell's ramble: Cycling in the evening sun
http://spikeabell.blogspot.com/2015/03/cycling-in-evening-sun.html
Visual Diary, sketch book and general commentary.from an artist using glass and mixed media. Thursday, March 5, 2015. Cycling in the evening sun. Needing to return someone else library book (much more urgent than ones own) I cycled to Erindale, the nearest library. Delightfully, I only needed to cross 2 roads over 5.8km. The bicycle tracks and underpasses of Canberra are actually really great. I love not having to worry about cars. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Http:/ www.spikedeane.com.

Visual Diary, sketch book and general commentary.from an artist using glass and mixed media. Sunday, May 10, 2015. Autumn musings; fiction, poetry and colour. Autumnal embroidery in silk and cotton floss on calico. Well it is no surprise that I love Autumn, I take the same kind of photographs every year, I regularly use Autumn leaves for bookmarks and find leaves from past Autumns well pressed in-between pages every year. I have done my Autumnal re reading of Kim Wilkins. Autumn, Kate Humphrey. So I star...
