the blue chisel: Texada Sunset 2
http://thebluechisel.blogspot.com/2015/02/texada-sunset-2.html
February 15, 2015. I've had a couple of weeks of running around and not much creative time but I did manage to get to finishing Sunset 2. I loved working on this print and I realized that, little by little, working downstairs in what used to be my parents' kitchen, it's feeling like my studio. Images of my mother, standing at the counter making dinner, something I watched her do too many times to count, are fading. Was that me? Anyway, the last two passes:. 9 x 7 inches. February 16, 2015. October 28, 2012. This weekend I've got a lousy cold and my head feels like it's wrapped in fibreglass so I'm not at my best. But I really wanted to mark the print's completion so I've dragged myself over to the computer. Here then are the last two stages of the print:. Blossom - Reduction Linocut. 95" x 7.5 ". October 10, 2012. Autumn Colours and Colourful Tales. And now we were about two hours out of Vancouver, driving through the Manning Park area, the day golden and warm and everything around lit up ...

the blue chisel: September 2012
http://thebluechisel.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
September 20, 2012. Green is the colour of my true love's lips, in the morning. In the morning when we rise. In fact, there's something drying on the racks pretty much every day and we're actually managing to even save some and not eat through it right away. Seriously though, bright green colour aside, they taste surprisingly good and they just feel so HEALTHY! The one in my earlier post here. Have to really squint to see the first one, it's very pale. Just a blush really. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

January 27, 2015. Finally Some New Stuff. Well it’s definitely time for something new for the new year isn’t it? If only to confirm I’m still here, plugging away at my printmaking, sporadically as it may be. But yes, like the cry of the Whos in Horton Hears a Who. I am here, I am here, I am here. So what, exactly, have I been up to the last few months? Well, for the first time in a couple of years, I got back to doing a linocut Christmas card again:. Anyway, it's moving along fairly quickly, I only start...

the blue chisel: November 2012
http://thebluechisel.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
November 12, 2012. A State of Unbeing. The way I see it, most people can be divided into one of two groups: those who love Neil Young and "get" his music and those who don't. Of all the people I know, the people I genuinely connect with fall into the first group. It's always been that way. In fact,. Roland and I would be married to each other if either one of us didn't feel as strongly about Neil Young as we do. Some things mean more than others. All of it forgotten as soon as he started. Amazingly, my f...

April 07, 2013. It really has been nearly three months since my last post. I didn't plan to let so much time slip by but then no one ever does do they? It would seem that time flies even when you're no. I'm still spending huge slices of my free time downstairs, dealing with the things left behind by my parents. It's very slow going but we have made progress; we've sorted and taken away boxes and boxes of stuff, we've. Here's my latest print:. And here are the different stages it went through:. Diane Cutt...
