Glebe Court Nursing Home | Care and support
http://glebecourtnursinghome.co.uk/about-us/care-and-support
In a nursing home what should be important are the staff and the relationships they build with the residents, not the building and decor. When someone needs nursing care, what they need most is kind, caring and well trained staff. Who take a genuine interest in their needs. Running a nursing home is a team effort and we believe excellent nursing care is all about the quality and energy of all. The staff and our volunteers. We understand that the commitment. Glebe Court Nursing Home | Training
http://glebecourtnursinghome.co.uk/about-us/training
All our nurses are fully qualified and 67% of our care staff has qualifications up to or exceeding NVQ2 level and the others are busy studying for their NVQ. When it comes to training, lots of care homes simply fulfil the minimum mandatory training. At Glebe Court we go above and beyond this by encouraging all staff to develop their skills, learning and expertise which we know not only helps us as individuals but enhances and supports all that we do for our residents.

Glebe Court Nursing Home | Volunteering
http://glebecourtnursinghome.co.uk/volunteering
Volunteering can enhance both the life of an elderly person and the life of a volunteer. Sadly not all our residents are lucky enough to have family members living close by that are able to visit them on a regular basis. We try to give everyone as much one-to-one attention as we can, but it’s never as much as we’d (or they’d) like. That’s why volunteers are so important. We also have volunteers who come in and entertain our residents on a regular or one-off basis.
