Nb Muriel and her travels along the waterways of Great Britain. Monday, 9 September 2013. THE NORTH SEA . cycle route. Muriel's been a bit neglected this summer, as her crew have been away cycling the North Sea Cycle Route, a long distance international cycleway. We started from our home in Devon, cycling from Exmouth along Sustrans. Starting out - newly trimmed, like the grass. A lunch stop along England's lovely south coast. One of many ferry crossings needed to get to Dover along the Sustrans. Germany...

Nb Muriel and her travels along the waterways of Great Britain. Tuesday, 16 October 2012. We're making good progress on our way home. On Friday we tackled 20 locks, surprisingly there were very few boats on the move and we got through 13 of the 15 Audlem locks before meeting another boat. The fact that all bar one had been set against us was a tad unlucky, but we made up for it at Adderley where they were all in our favour. We stopped for a brew half way up the Audlem flight. A misty Norbury Junction.

Nb Muriel and her travels along the waterways of Great Britain. Saturday, 3 April 2010. It's been over a year since we last updated the blog. That's not to say that we haven't been out and about in Muriel over the year. We had a 2 week trip in June 2009, when we went from Pillings Lock to Tixall Wide. We met our friends Gloria, Derek and Jake the dog there on nb Completely Foxed, and after a few days R and R in the rain, we then ambled back to Pillings Lock together. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Nb Muriel and her travels along the waterways of Great Britain. Thursday, 29 September 2011. We came down the Audlem 15 yesterday and are now moored below bridge 79. The wharf moorings outside The Shroppy Fly at Audlam were full when we arrived, so we carried on through two more locks. To be honest, it`s really nice where we are and only a couple of hundred meters from the Wharf. Apart from that its been the usual - walks, books and rescueing mice from the canal with Vera`s dinner bowl. The day started o...
