ABOUT THE MIXED MEDIA FRESCOES. Upon moving to an 1890 Victorian, I discovered many forgotten treasures. From old encyclopedias and medical books to windows, doors, and screens. Abandoned, their value and beauty were masked by layers of dust. I wondered what stories they could tell. These images are my glimpses into their memories.

Glenna moved to New Hampshire in December of 2005. Previously, she lived in San Francisco and Bethesda, Maryland. She grew up on a farm in southern Illinois, but became very comfortable with urban life in Chicago for almost 18 years, where her first career was a hairstylist on Michigan Avenue. The Wine Studio, Manchester, NH, solo exhibit. Lesley Seminar's Photography Atelier 2009 Exhibition, Cambridge, MA, group exhibit. The Wine Studio, Londonderry, NH, solo exhibit. Out of the Blue. Thursday, August 25, 2005. TCP/IP at 70 MPH. During these "brown outs" existing TCP connections simply stall until the air link comes back, (which can be for several minutes). Then packets just silently resume. (It's under these conditions that TCP/IP really shines.) New connection attempts fail on the DNS lookup. It might be nice if the adapter did some automatic retries, or even delayed sending the request when it realizes that the air link is not viable. It is very cool to be able to search "restauran...

Friday, June 10, 2005. I just got my Sprint data card, and I decided to see if it could maintain a TCP connection all the way home in the car. I figured the easiest test would be just to keep my IM client open. It keeps a heartbeat going and it will yell at me right away if the connection is lost. My battery gave up right at 90 minutes, but by then I was at the grocery store near my house, so I got a pretty good coverage check. My subject matter varies from still life to land and seascapes, figurative to semi-abstract. I love the way each season throws out a new light and energy, colour changes and shapes.
