Saturday, May 1, 2010. Most of what has happened around here has been a little of this, a little of that, but not enough for a very long post. So, I’m combining the little happenings into one post. One evening, Mom took her shower and washed her hair. She went to bed soon afterward. The next morning, she came out of her bathroom and sat down in the kitchen where I was getting some coffee. She looked kind of bewildered. What’s wrong, Mom? My hair turned white! Your hair turned white? What do you mean?

Thursday, September 22, 2011. My oldest granddaughter, Lindsey Rae, gave birth to Connor Lee Gregory on September 18, 2011 four days before her birthday. What a great life-long gift! She started labor on the morning of the 16th. She went to the hospital that night. They gave her meds to help her relax and sleep as much as she could. By Saturday morning, there was no change so they sent her back home. They went home today with their little bundle of joy. I will post photos as I get them. Links to this post.

Friday, March 29, 2013. I'm a nervous wreck! Ok, tomorrow is the big day - lots to do today, packing being the biggest chore. I am anxious, nervous, scared. my stomach won't calm down! I've got to get through today. Once I get on the plane, I should be ok because I'll 'shut down' just like I do for doc appointments, etc. plus I'll be under the influence of Xanax! Sunday, August 15, 2010. I applied for my Widow’s Benefits! Everything went smoothly, I had all the information they needed, and I was out of the office within 25 minutes after only a 10 minute wait. My monthly benefits will start in November. My 60th birthday is the last week of October so that’s why the wait. Thursday, February 25, 2010. The High Cost of Toilet Paper. The other day Mom and I was going over our grocery list to see what was needed. I told her we needed to add toilet paper to the list. We just bought toilet paper 2 weeks ago! I know, Mom, but there’s only 2 rolls left and that won’t last for another week. Just how much toilet paper do you use? Friday, June 24, 2011. Update on Happy Feet. Last month, we finally convinced Mom to go see a doc about her toes. It turned out to be toenail fungus after all. What surprised me was that he said she really didn’t need to treat it! I thought a foot fungus was something others could catch if they walked barefoot on Mom’s floors (like she does) but Doc said ‘No’! So all is fine now. Mom and I both have Happy Feet now!
