More Info - Global Friends In Action. Global Friends In Action is registered as an NGO in Zambia and is affiliated with sections in the US and the UK. GFIA USA is registered in America as a 501(c)3 non-profit charity, which acts to raise funds for the projects in Zambia. History of GFIA - Global Friends In Action. GFIA was founded by Fr Michael T. Kelly in the USA in 2004, along with co-founders Clay Norrbom, a Vice-President of Citibank in NY and his wife Jennifer Eikren, a consultant in international relations. Fr Kelly had previously set up the charities. In Zambia in 1989 and was one of the first to recognize the need for international help to counter the devastating consequences of HIV/AIDS. The Globe will be a hub for many activities and multi-cultural events for both students and American friends.
