Earthman's Asian Walkabout: October 2009
http://earthmansasianwalkabout.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Around South-East Asia in 80 days. Thursday, October 29, 2009. Day 80: Bangkok, Thailand. However, it's an opportunity that can't be missed as the Thailand is the centre of Buddhism and the ancient discipline of transcendental meditation, if I don't go experience this before I go back it would be something I would regret forever. But enough about me. What do you think of me? Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Day 78: Vientiane, Laos. Santo Cilauro, Tom Gleisner and Rob Sitch. 2004 Hardie Grant Books. Excellent...

Around South-East Asia in 80 days. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Day 78: Vientiane, Laos. Santo Cilauro, Tom Gleisner and Rob Sitch. 2004 Hardie Grant Books. Excellent book that, it's a piss take of the Lonely Planet and Rough Guides etc travel guides, had me in stitches on the long drive from Vang Vieng to Vientiane, on which the bus only broke down once. An American girl besides me asked me what I was laughing about and I passed it to her to read. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Earthman's Asian Walkabout: Training The Monkey Mind- Part 1
http://earthmansasianwalkabout.blogspot.com/2009/11/training-monkey-mind-part-1.html
Around South-East Asia in 80 days. Saturday, November 14, 2009. Training The Monkey Mind- Part 1. Suan Mokkh, Southern Thailand. Got into Surat Thani at 6am on the 31st, from here got a Sang Thiew (public transport- pick up truck with two benches in the back fo passengers) into Chaiya about an hour away. A real oasis of nature in the middle of nowhere, miles and miles from the hustle and bustle of the city as was to become more and more evident as time went on. Club Med this was not. We shall soon see.

New Years Resolution (will never happen):. January 22, 2015. To lift weights so I can pick my bike up! Looks much better standing! Disclosure: I have not been hurt -bad- yet from any of my falls… 95% of them happen at 3 mph or less! My feet don’t touch the ground barely and my body gets exhausted after 6 hours of foot deep sand and washboard roads! My best day yet is when I dropped my bike only twice and my male travel partner dropped his four! 🙂 I felt good that day! January 19, 2015. January 15, 2015.

A couple of years ago I wrote this. I am not denying the benefits of WFH entirely. You get to babysit when needed, spend time with parents if required, run errands etc. But, this cannot be the norm! But what changed my mind? Here it is -. Networking: one of the main advantages of going to an office facility is when ...
