Livin' on a Prayer: Australian Parks
http://melaniequi.blogspot.com/2015/06/australian-parks.html
Livin' on a Prayer. Thursday, June 4, 2015. The last day spent in Australia was reserved mainly for seeing the parks and gardens of the city. There were so many of them, all beautifully maintained. Across the street from our hotel was a beautiful little place that I could go running in. The weather was beautiful and it was a lovely end to an amazing trip. I will just let the pictures speak for themselves. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Lyme Park, England. A Pen, Passport, and Pastries. NYC Day 4 5 6}.

Livin' on a Prayer: Summer Time
http://melaniequi.blogspot.com/2015/07/summer-time.html
Livin' on a Prayer. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. My summer has been flying by in a hurry, and I've certainly been keeping busy. The month of July has been very eventful, and has greatly reminded me of the downside of being a homeowner. I also no longer come home to the felines lying belly up under the ceiling fan. We're all much happier in general despite the monetary loss. Something finally that was an affordable fix. And now I'm no longer intimidated by the toilet breaking - well, to an extent. Austin, Te...

Livin' on a Prayer: Ah Memories . . .
http://melaniequi.blogspot.com/2010/09/ah-memories.html
Livin' on a Prayer. Wednesday, September 15, 2010. Ah Memories . . . About last April I got a call from my old long time roommate Traci, asking if I was interested in doing a little roommate reunion in California for a few of us who lived together back in the day at Ricks College/ BYU Idaho. Of course I was all for that! Followed by, "I don't feel any older now than I did then." Where did the time go? So, let's be sentimental for a few moments and rehash some of my favorite roommate moments. So ladies, e...

Livin' on a Prayer: July 2014
http://melaniequi.blogspot.com/2014_07_06_archive.html
Livin' on a Prayer. Wednesday, July 9, 2014. I watched the boats float by and enjoyed the view. One of my favorites is Tower Bridge. I took a lot of pictures of this one, especially since the clouds above it were really cool. I even took a leisurely walk across it towards the Tower of London. Love it. From there I decided I needed to hit 221B Baker Street. So continues my love of London. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Lyme Park, England. A Pen, Passport, and Pastries. A year in review. Livin' on a Prayer: December 2014
http://melaniequi.blogspot.com/2014_12_07_archive.html
Livin' on a Prayer. Monday, December 29, 2014. This was the day we hooked up with the Echidna Walkabout Tour for the day. They took us to an animal reserve out in the "bush," about an hour and a half outside Melbourne. It was very rainy and a bit cold, but completely worth it. Our tour guide Martin was amazing, knowing everything you could possible want to know about Australian animals. 4 months out of the year he also does African Safari tours. So cool. On our way down, we stopped to see a random critte...

Livin' on a Prayer: August 2014

Livin' on a Prayer. Tuesday, September 23, 2014. National Talk Like a Pirate Day. A few days ago was the annual National Talk Like a Pirate Day holiday. Every September 19th it's time to celebrate the swash buckling scaly-wags of the sea. Some friends of mine got together for an excuse to celebrate with some exotic cuisine and classic pirate movies. No, I did not dress up. Our food theme was more of a tropical flavor, Caribbean type culinary feel, dashed with some random extras. Pirates of the Caribbean.

Livin' on a Prayer: Walking Tour . . . and an Australian Gaol
http://melaniequi.blogspot.com/2015/04/walking-tour-and-australian-gaol.html
Livin' on a Prayer. Thursday, April 30, 2015. Walking Tour . . . and an Australian Gaol. Melbourne is a large bustling city, full of underground places that are easy to miss at a glance. We took a walking tour of the city in order to get more of an insiders view. We were able to learn a little more history about the buildings, and funny antics about scandalous paintings and other such things you wouldn't normally hear about. We spent the second part of the day at the local gaol. It was surprisingly f...
