September 11, 2008. My opinion of Sarah Palin is this:. I’m happy that she was a mayor and that she ran for office and was elected by people who chose her to be their governor. I congratulate her for this. As the VP candidate, however, I don’t think she is qualified for the job, and it’s not because she is inexperienced. It’s because she is ignorant. Ignorance is not a character flaw, but it does disqualify. This is what I’m talkin’ about. September 10, 2008. Because a few people asked…. September 6, 2008.

Resonance and Bill Moyers. September 12, 2008. This from Deepak Chopra, Huffington Post, Sept 4:. Sometimes politics has the uncanny effect of mirroring the national psyche even when nobody intended to do that. This is perfectly illustrated by the rousing effect that Gov. Sarah Palin had on the Republican convention in Minneapolis this week. Look at what she stands for:. 8211;Small town values — a denial of America’s global role, a return to petty, small-minded parochialism. Palin reinforces the overall ...

Catching up on stuff. Straight From the Heart of Jen Lee. October 27, 2008. Photo by jen lemen. Last week I spent a pleasant morning interviewing my friend, Jen Lee. About her new life’s path writing and two extraordinary projects she has created. These projects come straight from her brave soul, and serve as inspiration for us all. The first project is entitled, Don’t Write: A Reluctant Journal, and the second is an audio cd with original stories called, Solstice: Stories of Light in the Dark. Jen: They...

Straight From the Heart of Jen Lee. Catching up on stuff. October 14, 2008. It’s a strange season. I’m ambivalent about blogging, bogged down in a quagmire of political frustration, and not doing the things I said I wanted to do. Like write. My computer is sick. I have mixed feelings about that as well. Of course I miss it like my right arm, but on the other hand, it’s nice to have to restrict myself to leftover time on my husband’s machine. I’m tempted to get off the grid c...Feed for this Entry. You ar...

Diary of a Move. February 12, 2008. We try to be alone when we’re together, but we also seek connection when we’re apart. My favorite place in my apartment is the kitchen window, which faces gardens and the rear windows of our neighboring street. I can’t help thinking of Jimmy Stewart. In Hitchcock’s Rear Window. How old is their love? Is she up late writing, as I sometimes am? Other windows never show any sign of life. What do they see in mine? Laquo; falling in love with Once. A Case of the Februarys.

January 19, 2009. Watching preliminary events, running up to tomorrow’s inauguration, I feel…. I feel strange. Not at all how I expected to feel. As a matter of fact, I didn’t expect I would get the chance to sit back and consider how it feels to watch Obama inaugurated as the 44th President of the United States. I just didn’t expect him to win. 8221; as some of my friends today can claim. But not I. Today I feel…. Response to “Goodness Happens Still”. Feed for this Entry. January 20, 2009 at 7:14 am.
